Following the release of David Byrne's new album Who Is the Sky?, he will begin his tour tonight in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! The first show was supposed to be in Providence, Rhode Island, on Sunday (September 14), but this was postponed to October 5. Instead, it will be at Pittsburgh's Benedum Center for the Performing Arts. Click here for a list of tour dates and ticket information.

  • Ahead of the first show, Talking Heads Journal has released an article analysing past tour statistics to predict which songs might be on the setlist.

  • In addition to David Byrne's tour dates, 2026 festival appearances are starting to be announced, including Big Ears in Knoxville, TN, at the end of March, followed by Coachella in Indio, CA, on April 11 & 18. More tour dates and festival appearances are likely to be announced in the near future.

  • More David Byrne media appearances have been released, including a Criterion Closet Picks video and a Trackstar interview.
  • Speaking of Criterion, the 2020 film David Byrne's American Utopia is entering the Criterion collection with a special release later this year, including a new behind-the-scenes documentary featuring David Byrne, director Spike Lee, and others involved in the show.   • Talking Heads are releasing Halloween-themed merch, including a glow-in-the-dark Remain in Light shirt. Check it out on the official store website.

  • Today (September 16) is also 48 years since the first Talking Heads album was released in 1977.
