Two days after David Byrne finished his 2025 Who Is the Sky? tour in Miami, Florida, he announced new dates across North America and Europe in 2026. They begin immediately after the March leg of the tour in Europe, which was announced earlier this year. Alongside new concerts in theaters and arenas, the new dates also include appearances at festivals and outdoor amphitheaters. There are four dates on the poster that have not been officially announced yet. See this article for more details, or see his website for links to each date. Some of these shows are already available for ticket purchase with presale code "SKYGUY", and the general sale begins on Friday morning.
On December 1, NPR Music released David Byrne's Tiny Desk Concert, which was filmed when the tour reached Washington, D.C., in September. The performance features two songs from Who Is the Sky? as well as two Talking Heads songs.
The new Talking Heads demo album Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live was released for Record Store Day on November 28. The album features recordings made by the band in their early years, including two demos recorded in 1974 by David Byrne and Chris Frantz's earlier band, The Artistics. Tickets are available for Jerry Harrison's upcoming events, including a handful of Stop Making Sense Q&As across the West Coast of the United States in January, followed by Remain in Light concerts with Adrian Belew in Australia in April. David Byrne's monthly playlist for December 2026 is titled "Christmas Music for People Who Hate Christmas Music" and features the description "This playlist is not about the solstice, nor does it have some Pagan agenda - it’s rowdy, fun songs that gently poke at and refer to the holidays". You can read more about the playlist, and explore the songs, on his website, with the playlist also available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Mixcloud.
